I have a degree in Mathematics and a degree in Secondary Education. I have worked in higher ed corporate sales as an educational consultant, trainer, tech support, field editor, and an academic advisor for nearly two decades covering four states earning numerous national and regional accolades. I have a considerable amount of pedagogy, technology and course redesign experience in the higher ed sector. I have organized professional development conferences, guided some colleges and universities and many STEM professors to redefine, redesign and modernize their teaching, pedagogy and assessment abilities (ie, flipped classrooms, hybrid teaching, online teaching, curriculum redesign, and the transition to, or implementation of, SaaS technologies to improve immediate student outcomes and raise the bar for students to attain higher levels of learning. I have experience teaching middle school in JCPS, the Archdiocese of Louisville and SCPS. While at the Archdiocese, I raised the 6th, 7th and 8th grade math scores up so much that for the first time in 17 years, they were awarded Blue Ribbon School status! In addition to teaching, I am a competitive swimmer on a local Masters team. I have coached volleyball, swimming and drama. Currently, I am a lead LSA Division 1 Championship Swim Coach with an age-group team of over 300 swimmers. My husband is a chemical engineer and an EMT. We are raising an 8th grader who is into basketball, volleyball and swimming. Our high school senior dabbles in the stock market and builds his own computer rigs to play games and mine cryptocurrencies.
