Melanie Richmond

Ms. Melanie is in her second year of teaching Middle School Language Arts and Social Studies at ISL.
She received her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish from the University of Kentucky.
She is currently pursuing a master's degree in School Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands.
She has been an assistant and teacher in schools across Kentucky, Alaska, and Costa Rica.
She served as an AmeriCorps VISTA, working for an educational and public policy nonprofit in Houston, Texas.
She also participated in the Disney College Program, working at Walt Disney World.
​Ms. Melanie is excited to bring her joy for learning and building relationships.
